About
I’m an engineer by training and a nutritional practitioner in development. The two aren’t as different as they sound — both are about reading systems, identifying what’s causing friction, and designing conditions for better performance.
Background
I spent my career as an Incorporated Engineer, managing complex systems where the gap between how something should perform and how it actually performs is never random — it always has a cause. That diagnostic mindset is what I bring to nutrition and lifestyle consultancy.
I’m currently in the final stages of a Diploma in Nutrition at the College of Naturopathic Medicine, building toward a practice focused on the intersection of metabolic health, genomics, and the nervous system. Real Signals is the consultancy I’m building alongside that training — grounded in what I know now, and honest about where it’s heading.
The engineering background isn’t a curiosity — it’s the frame. Systems thinking, feedback loops, root cause analysis. Applied to the body, it produces a different kind of conversation than standard nutritional advice.
Credentials
| Current training | Diploma in Nutrition — College of Naturopathic Medicine (CNM). Year 2 in progress. Student Nutritional Practitioner. |
| Engineering | BSc (Hons). Incorporated Engineer — IEng MIET. Institution of Engineering and Technology. |
| Professional conduct | Operating under the CNM Student Code of Conduct throughout the qualification period. All clients are informed of student practitioner status before any session. |
| What this means | Real Signals operates as a nutrition and lifestyle consultancy in an educational context — not a clinical practice. What I can offer now is a precise, well-informed conversation about how your system is running. The clinical depth comes next. |
What’s being built
Real Signals feeds into a wider practice I’m building called Evident Health — a precision metabolic practice anchored to genomic data. The people who come through Real Signals now are the people who will understand the deeper work when it opens.
